Founder's note

Hi, I'm Marisa, the founder of Stoop.

Like a lot of people, I have ADHD. And if you do too, you probably know this story all too well.

You buy something because you're excited about a new hobby or project. Then life changes, your interests shift, or you simply move on. Before you know it, the garage, closet, or spare room is full of things you no longer use.

The problem isn't that the items don't have value. The problem is that selling them feels overwhelming.

The thought of organizing a yard sale, dragging everything outside, making signs, or creating dozens of individual listings across Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, Craigslist, and Nextdoor is enough to make you put it off until... someday.

And somehow, someday never comes.

Meanwhile, that perfectly good bike, stroller, dresser, toolbox, or coffee table just sits there collecting dust when someone else could be using it—and you could be putting that money toward something you actually need.

That's why I created Stoop.

Stoop is your neighborhood's virtual yard sale.

Instead of creating listing after listing across multiple platforms, you create one gallery with everything you're selling. Then you share a single link wherever buyers are already looking. Friends, neighbors, and local shoppers can browse everything you have available in one place, making it easier for them to find what they're looking for—and often leave with more than one item.

I also wanted selling to feel safer and simpler. Stoop helps you manage your listings in one place, makes it easy to share them across other platforms, keeps your personal information private until you're ready to share it, and lets buyers discover your entire collection instead of just one item at a time.

While Stoop was inspired by my own experience with ADHD, it's really for anyone who wants to declutter without the hassle of a traditional yard sale.

Whether you're cleaning out the garage, downsizing, moving, helping a family member, or just trying to reclaim some space, I hope Stoop helps you turn clutter into cash—and gives your things the second life they deserve.

We're currently in beta, and I'd love for you to give Stoop a try. Your feedback will help shape the future of the product and make it even better for everyone.

Thanks for being here.

Why we built it

Less friction

One gallery link replaces the need to rewrite the same item description across multiple platforms.

More trust

Buyers see everything you have available, with photos, condition, price, and neighborhood.

More neighborly

We focus on local pickup and nearby sales, keeping the community feel of a real yard sale.
